The department for Information Systems creates and maintains web-based Information Systems and develops software applications for these systems.  The web-based Information systems are hosted by the Corporate Intranets and Extranets and the Online Portfolio Services for clients and staff.
The professional individual should be highly motivated to participate in the complete life-cycle of developing, implementing and maintaining of robust multi-tier, database driven, internet based, distributed business applications.  Need to be able to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.  The applicant must be results and quality oriented and ambitious to develop advanced, efficient, secure, user friendly business applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Define application solutions by user need.
  • Devise solutions supporting the entire business information flow.
  • Consider security and liability criteria.
  • Design and structure in multi-tiered, web distributed architecture.
  • Developing and coding of software following the layout rules.
  • Maintain and adjust existing sites to current business requests.
  • Write documentation.
  • Provide support for existing web applications as needed.
  • Provide support for users as needed.
  • Train Users.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
 
Essential Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to be very flexible, to work with deadlines and confidential issues, work well under pressure and stress and have highly developed organizational skills.
  • Need to have a deep understanding of Software Development Cycle (SDLC).
  • Expertise in developing web based applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and/or HTML5, AJAX, ADO.NET.
  • Expertise in MS SQL Server which includes writing complicated stored procedures and designing normalized database tables.
  • Need to have some knowledge on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) utilizing Windows Communication Foundation.
  • Expertise in developing SSIS packages.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
